There has been a lot of disussion as to whether Andy Petitie will end up being the “smoking gun” with regards to steroid use by Roger Clemens. There is a school of thought that since Andy and Roger are best buddies, like brothers they surely would have discussed this with each other. Andy would therefore know of Roger’s steroid use(Andy has already admitted his own HGH use). Andy as a stand-up guy would therefore, despite his close friendship with Roger, if under oath testify as to his knowledge of Roger’s steroid use. Roger denies ever discussing this subject with Andy.

I believe Roger when he says they never discussed the subject and here is why by hypothetical example:

I am very close with my brothers. If I decided to use steroids do you really think I would tell either of them? Hell no! I would go to all lengths to hide it! They may see me get bigger and show whatever results you get from them but they would only suspect and have no first hand knowledge. Why wouldnt I tell the people closest to me? The answer is simple….

The people closest to you whom you care about and who you value their perception of your integrity and respect above all are the LAST people you are going to tell you are doing illegal things or things that you will worry will lower their preception of you.

It is the people you dont have a personal relationship with and are not as concerned with above that it always ends up slipping to and if you check the stats these end up being the people that always end up ratting you out because they dont care about you either….

I think Roger and Andy would have gone to all lenghts to keep any knowledge of PES use from the other……
